Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes Son of a beach's practices with respect to information collected from users who access our website at www.sonofabeach.nl (hereinafter ”Site” or otherwise share personal information with us (collectively: ' Users ').
Son of a beach cares a lot about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and we handle the information that we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by Son of a beach. The effective date for the validity of these conditions is March 7, 2021, with the publication of a new version the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy policy describes what information about you is collected by us, what this data is used for and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain to you how we store your data and how we protect your data against misuse and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you provide to us. Reasons for data collection
Processing of your personal information (meaning any information which may potentially allow your identification with reasonable means; hereinafter " Personal Information ") is necessary for the performance of our contractual obligations towards you and providing you with our services, to protect our legitimate interests and for compliance with legal and financial regulatory obligations to which we are subject.
When you use the Site, you consent to the collection, storage, use, disclosure and other use of your Personal Data as described in this Privacy Policy. We use your data exclusively for the purpose of providing our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the order you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time – other than at your request – we will explicitly ask you for permission to do so. Your data will not be shared with third parties, other than to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. What kind of data do we collect?
We collect two types of data and information from Users.
The first type of information is un-identified and non-identifiable information relating to a User(s), which may be made available or collected through your use of the Site (“Non-Personal Information”). We are not aware of the identity of a User from which Non-Personal Information is collected. Non-Personal Information that is collected may include your aggregated usage information and technical information transmitted by your device, including certain software and hardware information (e.g. the type of browser and operating system your device uses, language preference, access times, etc.) in order to enhance the functionality of our Site. This type of information includes: Device Information: We collect Personal Data from your device. This information may include location data, IP address, unique identifiers (e.g., MAC address and UUID), and other information relating to your activities through the Site; and Registration Information: When you register with our Site, we ask you to provide certain information such as: full name, email or physical address, and other information.
How do we receive information about you?
We receive your personal information from various sources: When you voluntarily provide us with personal information to register with our Site; When you use or access our Site in connection with your use of our services;
Cooperation in tax and criminal investigations
In certain cases, Son of a beach may be required by law to share your data in connection with fiscal or criminal investigations by government authorities. In such a case, we are forced to share your data, but we will oppose this within the possibilities that the law offers us.
What kind of data do we collect?
We do not rent, sell, or share User information with third parties except as described in this Privacy Policy.

User rights
Based on the applicable Dutch and European legislation, you as a data subject have certain rights with regard to the personal data that is processed by or on behalf of us. Below we explain what these rights are and how you can invoke these rights. In principle, in order to prevent misuse, we only send transcripts and copies of your data to your e-mail address already known to us. In the event that you wish to receive the data at a different e-mail address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep an administration of processed requests; in the event of a request to be forgotten, we administer anonymized data. You will receive all transcripts and copies of data in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems. You have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority at any time if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.
Right of inspection
You always have the right to view the data that we (have) process and that relate to you personally or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to the e-mail address known to us, with an overview of the processors who have this data, stating the category under which we have stored this data.
Right of rectification
You always have the right to have the data that we (have) process and that relate to your person or can be traced back to you, adjusted or corrected. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation that the data has been adjusted to the e-mail address known to us.
Right to restriction of processing
You always have the right to limit the data that we (have) process that relates to you or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the e-mail address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to portability
You always have the right to have the data that we (have) process and that relate to your person or can be traced back to you, performed by another party. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies of all data about you that we have processed or that have been processed by other processors or third parties on our behalf to the e-mail address known to us. In all probability, we will no longer be able to continue providing the service in such a case, because the secure linking of data files can then no longer be guaranteed.
Right to object and other rights
In applicable cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Son of a beach. If you object, we will immediately cease processing the data pending the handling of your objection. If your objection is justified, we will provide you with transcripts and/or copies of data that we (have) processed and then permanently cease processing. You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe that this is the case, please contact our contact person for privacy matters.
Right to request deletion of data
You may request to delete your personal data at any time. You can submit a request to that effect to our contact person for privacy matters. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. However, please note that we are required to retain your data for at least as long as necessary in view of the legal obligations.
However, these rights are not absolute and may be subject to our own legitimate interests and legal requirements.

Save
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. Retention periods are determined taking into account the type of information that is collected and the purpose for which it is collected, bearing in mind the requirements applicable to the situation and the need to destroy outdated, unused information at the earliest opportunity. We maintain records containing customer personal information, account opening documents, communications and other items as required by applicable laws and regulations.
We may correct, supplement or delete incomplete or incorrect information at any time and at your own discretion.
Cookies
We and our trusted partners use cookies and other technologies in our related services, including when you visit our Site or use our services.

We also use a tool called Google Analytics to collect information about your use of the Site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users visit the Site, what pages they visit when they do so, and so on. We use the information we get from Google Analytics to improve our Site and services. Google Analytics collects your IP address on the date you visit sites, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information we have collected using Google Analytics with personal data. Google's ability to use and share the information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this Site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy. This processor may be required by applicable laws and regulations to provide access to this data. Out of respect for your right to privacy, we offer you the opportunity within these marketing materials to indicate that you no longer wish to receive marketing offers from us in the future. If you unsubscribe, we will remove your email address or telephone number from our marketing list.
Please note that even if you have unsubscribed from receiving promotional emails from us, we may still send you other important email communications from which we do not offer you the opportunity to unsubscribe. These may include customer service messages or administrative notices.
Business transaction
We may share information in the event of a corporate transaction (e.g., sale of a substantial portion of our business, merger, consolidation, or asset sale). Minors
We understand the importance of protecting the privacy of children, especially online. The Site is not intended for or directed to children. Updates or changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to periodically amend or revise the Privacy Policy. Material changes will be effective immediately upon the posting of the revised Privacy Policy. The most recent version will be reflected in the "Last modified" section. Your continued use of the Platform, following the notification of such amendments on our website, constitutes your acknowledgement and consent of such amendments to the Privacy Policy and your agreement to be bound by the terms of such amendments.
